Bybit Adds U.S. Stock and ETF Trading for Global Users
Crypto exchange Bybit now offers access to more than 1,000 U.S.-listed stocks and ETFs, expanding beyond digital assets.
Bybit, the Dubai-based trading platform with more than 80 million registered users worldwide, has launched stock trading capabilities, giving eligible global users access to more than 1,000 U.S.-listed equities and exchange-traded funds, the company announced Oct. 12, 2026.
The expansion marks a significant strategic shift for Bybit, which built its reputation as a cryptocurrency exchange. By adding U.S. stocks — including shares of major companies such as Apple — the platform is positioning itself as a broader financial services destination capable of competing with traditional online brokerages as well as crypto-native rivals.

The move reflects a wider industry trend of crypto platforms seeking to diversify revenue streams and capture retail investors who want a single venue for both digital assets and conventional securities. Bybit's existing user base of 80 million provides a substantial built-in audience for the new product, potentially accelerating adoption in markets where access to U.S. equities has historically been limited or complicated.
Eligibility for the stocks feature is subject to regional restrictions, the company noted, meaning not all of Bybit's global users will have immediate access. The platform did not specify which jurisdictions are excluded, a detail likely tied to securities licensing and regulatory requirements in various countries.
