Bybit Launches Stock Trading With 1,000-Plus US Equities and ETFs
Crypto exchange Bybit is expanding into stock trading, giving eligible global users access to more than 1,000 US-listed equities and ETFs.
Bybit, the Dubai-based trading platform with more than 80 million users worldwide, announced it will now support stock trading, extending its reach well beyond its cryptocurrency roots. Eligible users globally will gain access to more than 1,000 US-listed stocks and exchange-traded funds through the platform.
The move represents a significant strategic pivot for Bybit, which has built its reputation primarily as a crypto derivatives exchange. By integrating traditional equities alongside digital assets, the company appears to be positioning itself as a broader financial super-app competing with both conventional brokerages and crypto-native platforms.

The expansion gives Bybit's international user base a centralized venue to manage both crypto and equity holdings, a model that has gained traction as retail investors increasingly seek consolidated portfolio management tools. The company did not specify which geographic markets would qualify as eligible at launch, noting that access would be subject to regulatory approvals by region.
Bybit's announcement underscores a broader trend of crypto-native firms seeking to diversify revenue streams and attract mainstream retail investors who may be more familiar with traditional stock markets than with digital asset trading. The company's existing infrastructure and global user base of 80 million could provide meaningful distribution advantages as it enters the equities space.
