Koppers Q3 2026 Revenue Rises but Profit Falls Year Over Year
Koppers posted higher third-quarter sales of $499.1M but net income slipped to $14.7M from $23.8M a year earlier.
Koppers Holdings reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of $499.1 million, up from $485.3 million in the same period of the prior year, the company disclosed in its latest earnings release. Despite the top-line improvement, profitability declined across all key measures compared with a year ago.
Net income fell to $14.7 million from $23.8 million in the year-earlier quarter, a drop of roughly 38 percent. Diluted earnings per share came in at $0.75, down from $1.17, while adjusted EPS declined to $0.77 from $1.21, indicating that the earnings pressure was not primarily driven by one-time items.

The results underscore a challenging environment for specialty chemical and carbon compound producers, where input costs and pricing dynamics can rapidly compress margins even when demand remains relatively firm. Koppers has not yet provided updated full-year guidance in the excerpted release.
