Payward, the parent company of cryptocurrency exchange Kraken, has forged a partnership with Singapore Gulf Bank to deliver around-the-clock settlement capabilities to institutional digital asset markets in Asia and the Gulf region, the companies announced October 4, 2026.
The integration centers on SGB Net, Singapore Gulf Bank's real-time clearing network, which enables Payward's institutional clients to complete settlements instantly regardless of the time of day or day of the week — a notable departure from the business-hours limitations that still constrain many traditional financial settlement rails.

As part of the agreement, Singapore Gulf Bank will also onboard Kraken Prime, Payward's institutional trading arm, as an additional source of digital asset liquidity. The partnership reflects a broader industry push to close the gap between crypto-native settlement speeds and the expectations of institutional counterparties who require certainty and finality outside conventional banking windows.
