Ownwell, RentRedi Team Up to Cut Landlord Property Tax Bills
Ownwell's savings-or-free appeal service is now available to RentRedi's landlord community through a new partnership announced Sept. 30.
Property tax management firm Ownwell and rental property software platform RentRedi announced a partnership Tuesday aimed at helping independent landlords reduce their property tax burdens, the companies said in a joint statement released from Austin, Texas.
Under the arrangement, RentRedi's community of landlords will gain access to Ownwell's property tax appeal service, which operates on a savings-or-free model — meaning clients pay only if Ownwell successfully secures a reduction in their assessed tax liability.

The deal connects two platforms that each target independent and small-portfolio landlords, a segment of the real estate market that often lacks the in-house resources larger institutional owners use to contest property assessments. By bundling tax appeal access into a property management ecosystem, the partnership positions both companies to deepen engagement with that user base.
Property taxes represent one of the largest recurring operating costs for residential landlords, and successful appeals can materially affect net operating income, particularly in markets where assessed values have risen sharply in recent years. Ownwell's contingency-based fee structure removes upfront financial risk for landlords who may be uncertain whether an appeal will succeed.
Financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed. Continue reading at Economic News, Trends, Analysis.
